Traveling Into History

We live in Guelph, a regal, old town( now a small city), in south western Ontario.  Where ever you look there are historic buildings and parks.   One church is over 180 years old.

The Church of Our Lady Immaculate overlooks the town. It is in the process of being sandblasted.  The weathered walls look new again but have lost some of there character instilled over the years.

Wandering through these old buildings gives you a sense of family and belonging.  Researching historic buildings and places develops knowledge of where mankind is today and how far he has come.  Then there is the mystery and entertainment of finding out about old truths.  ( rumors and scandals, too)

One of our favorite hiking and camping spots is the Rockwood conservation area.  Here you will find the remains of the Harris Woolen Mill.

It is hard to imagine the the current village as the bustling metroplois it once was.  Some interesting Rockwood history can be found at Rockwoodheaven.com

So come travel through history with us.  Who knows what we will find.
